Okay, so the FEDCO seeds arrived today, which means this weekend I begin sowing in seed blocks. I’ve got a lot to do:

Artichokes – 2 types

Beans – 3 types

Beets – 2 types

Broccoli – 2 types

Brussels Sprouts – 1 type

Cabbages – 6 types

Carrots – 2 types

Cauliflower – 1 type

Chards – 2 types

Corn – 1 type

Cucumbers – 3 types

Eggplants – 2 types

Greens (broadly defined) – 8 types

Kale – 2 types

Leeks – 3 types

Lettuces – 9 types

Melons – 2 types

Onions – 2 types

Peas – 3 types

Peppers (sweet) – 2 types

Scallions – 1 type

Shallots – 1 type

Spinach – 2 types

Squashes – 8 types (including 1 each zucchini & yellow summer)

Tomatos – 4 types

Turnips – 2 types

Potatoes and Strawberries have yet to come.

Truthfully, while a part of me wonders what I was thinking, a larger part is thinking “this will be fun!” Either way, the growing season is beginning.

Now, if only the last 20 inches of snow would melt…
